Rules

Rules are like monitors except that they are one-time triggers, such as an event ID alert. And since they are not periodically monitored, cannot automatically resolve themselves. So be cautious when creating them as too many rule triggers can fill up the Monitoring Alerts view and will need frequent cleanup attention.
